Filling out the Form

View from the inside.
With the last arch in place, the crew starts back at the beginning and inserts any missing bolts and tightening everything down. It's amazing to see how the simple act of tightening bolts brings all the arches in line and smooths out the form.

View from the south end.

Working toward completion, we received delivery of our insulation panels and were able to stack them inside the structure. That kept them from melting in the noonday Florida sun.

The stretch bars (see on the side) are a critical part of the equation. Proper application (READ THE INSTRUCTIONS) keeps everything lined up so that one side of the building isn’t a foot-and-a-half longer than the other when you get to the end!

There’s a line of stretch bars on the top also, but to elaborate would seem redundant.
Allowing for monsoons, and breaking midday for a few hours to avoid being vaporized by the Florida sun, we completed our mission in just six days.

  1. Looking GREAT! Keep the new posts coming. What R Value do you estimate you are going to have? What kind of cost was the insulation? Melting insulation? you were just hot and exaggerating a bit on this one right?

So Far So Good, How do you fill about it so far?

  2. Looking good. This was one of the buildings I was looking at when I lived in OK. One day I would like to come out to see. Thanks J.R.

  4. Once the last arch is in position, the crew revisits the entire structure to insert missing bolts and tighten everything. This process is described as transformative, as it brings the arches into a perfect line and smooths out the overall shape. Find out more about Concrete Patio Port Saint Lucie

  5. Once the final arch is placed, the crew goes back to the beginning to insert any missing bolts and tighten every connection. This process is transformative, as the mechanical tension pulls the arches into perfect alignment and "smooths out" the overall form of the building. chain link fence Augusta
